THE WHY

I am Tangela Johnson. Consultant. Certified executive coach. Speaker. Former school principal. For more than 20 years, I have been in rooms where brilliant people are carrying everything and telling no one. My work was born in the hallways of schools. As a principal, I watched some of the most committed, most brilliant people I had ever met pour everything they had into their students, their staff, and their communities, often without sustainable systems or support. Just the quiet expectation that dedication meant depletion.

I carry that with me into every room I have entered since, working with educators, nonprofit leaders, and C-suite decision makers. Different titles, same pattern. The most committed leaders are often one crisis away from burning out. I founded EASE & Co. because I believe meaningful work should not require human depletion. What began from my own experience with burnout has grown into a deeper understanding of the conditions surrounding leadership, how systems, structures, decisions, priorities, and ways of working shape what people are asked to carry.

Today, EASE & Co. works with leaders and organizations to create clearer, stronger, more sustainable ways of working.

I hold a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and advanced certifications in leadership development, executive coaching, and organizational strategy. I'm also the founder of EASE Magazine. But before any of that, I am a daughter, sister, and friend to amazing women who deserve to lead with confidence, clarity, and the full knowledge that their well-being matters. This work is part of what I believe, what I want to contribute, and what I hope to leave behind. Meaningful work deserves sustainable leadership.
